Public art enhances the vibrancy of LaGrange County, fostering a dynamic and engaging community. LaGrange County Arts is committed to forging strong partnerships that will bring even more public art projects to life in the future.

heritage sculpture

In August 2025, a metal sculpture was unveiled on the lawn of the LaGrange County Courthouse, celebrating the area's rich natural resources and manufacturing heritage. The project was initiated by the LaGrange County Convention & Visitors Bureau and brought to life through a collaboration with local officials. The sculpture's design was created by Mary Woodworth of LaGrange, while Tim Johnson of Mongo crafted the metalwork. This community-driven effort brought together many hands to create a lasting tribute. Be sure to visit and see it for yourself at the southeast corner of the courthouse lawn.
