Michelle Tennant

Michelle Tennant is the LaGrange County Arts Programs Manager. She was born, raised, and is currently living in LaGrange. Michelle graduated from Lakeland School Corporation and is now a Registered Nurse
at the LaGrange County Health Department. She has been married for twenty years to a musician that sings and plays guitar and drums. They have two children still living at home, and a son and daughter-in-
law currently living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Their son and daughter, who are still living at home, attend Lakeland School Corporation and are active in the arts, music, and performing arts programs at Lakeland
Schools, LCYC, and Sparkle and Shine Dance.

Michelle has a passion for helping young people find their purpose and their people and believes promoting the arts in LaGrange County will, not only help local youth achieve this, but also allow them to discover their own unique creativity and share it with the community. Michelle is active in the Lakeland Intermediate School PTO and Lakeland Jr./Sr. High School Music Boosters and is part of the LaGrange County SART, CFRT, CIT, and Mental Health/Substance Use Collaborative. She enjoys
expressing her creativity through painting, reading, Bible journaling, and event planning in her free time.

As the LaGrange County Arts Programs Manager, Michelle will be responsible for organizing and overseeing comprehensive visual, literary, and performing arts programs, events, and activities that promote the advancement of local artists’ careers, the development of creative skills in area youth, and an appreciation of the arts in our community.
